Jacksonville, FL – Airstream Ventures is on the move again with its sports tourism division expanding beyond the East Coast. This new strategy and direction for the company now focuses in the great State of Nebraska.
Airstream Ventures has partnered with Visit North Platte to now assist in its sports tourism marketing efforts and attract events to the destination’s premier facilities. The partnership will focus on defining North Platte as a destination that brings a significant economic impact and year-round tourism.
North Platte is a city in Lincoln County, Nebraska. It is located in the west-central part of the state, along Interstate 80, at the confluence of the North and South Platte Rivers forming the Platte River conveniently four hours from Denver and four hours from Omaha.
North Platte’s biggest claims to fame are the Union Pacific’s Bailey Yard, the world’s largest railroad classification yard; the home of William F. “Buffalo Bill” Cody; and the North Platte Canteen.
“We are excited to work with Alan Verlander and the Airstream Ventures team to increase sports events in our area,” said Lisa Burke, Executive Director of Visit North Platte. “We have a growing community with new facilities being built that will help us capture some of the multi million dollar sports tourism market.”
Sports tourism is a large economic driver for communities and Airstream Ventures is excited to take its success with other communities and expand efforts into North Platte, Nebraska.
